Buying a home in Mexico can be safe, exciting, and quite profitable - if done correctly and intelligently. I have no idea why some people cross the border and figure that because someone is charming (which admittedly I am), speaks their language, or has a business card, that they are a “professional”. They would NEVER do this stuff in their home country.
There are literally millions of folks in Mexico that say they sell real estate. Very few of them do this as their fulltime job and even fewer are trained in the BASICS! Would you allow a taxi driver to give you a root canal? How about getting brain surgery from a waiter? Of course you wouldn’t! You don’t risk what is important to you with someone without the knowledge to help you…period!
This website is for everyone from the layman to the foreign real estate professional that wants to learn about property ownership in Mexico. I believe in the no B.S. philosophy – tell the people the whole truth and nothing but the truth and they will be clients for life. Please look around and see what is here. Many different types of property are available in Mexico. Condo, casa, casas, lots, lot, lote, home, house, apartment, commercial property, villa, hacienda, condominium, condos. beachfront and oceanfront have very special laws governing their purchase - as do highway frontage and water or lake front properties. It is very important that a qualified Realtor is used in those circumstances. If you are reading this and it sounds like the ramblings of an insane person, I apologize.
